DAILY DOGGIE - FEB 13, 2026 (by Carlene White)

Part 1:

Dd 2 13 I Never in a million years thought I would ever be writing this next bit..  But unless Elizabeth has a secret stash somewhere I am down to having only 8 poo  pickers.  When I was working with the puppies back in year 20 14 to 2019 all of you goldies warriors would send me the required pieces of cardboard with a plastic bag ohh--- the usual 3 inches by 6 inches was the same size as my cell phone and easily carried in the pocket in case any of my puppies had some kind of accident the poop picker had usually 3 or 4 pieces of cardboard and the plastic bag held together by an elastic band.. It doesn't happen often but when it does it's very embarrassing that a dog leaves a large pile also a smelly pile.. So when working with puppies in public it was best to be prepared.

I now have only 8 prepackaged pool pickers and they are ones done with a wide elastic band I don't know who did them but I have well let me start that again I should try and list all the things that the Pooh pickers have done except picking poo. Without too much imagination since they are usually cut from someones cereal box

one side is blank it makes the perfect scratchpad for something you really don't want to forget.. These particular Pooh pickers have a wide elastic band holding them together--I just used that wide elastic band to hold 100 $1.00 bills together umm but these poor pickers have had so many uses---my whole service dog training program hung on using these Pooh pickers to pass notes between trainers--there was a service dog training program which was sold as the ultimate training device which I found more cumbersome than anything else it required

anyone taking a dog out for training Chekhov about 30 different situations in training as either passed or fail... My method was to make a note on the back of one of these poop pickers of any particular problem so that the next trainer handling that dog could look and find the words air brakes.... Instead of a long list of stairs and curbs and doors and cars and travel and stuff like that they only needed to know what the problems were in which case they would go to Georgetown where there was a traffic light right beside a stone wall which was a comfortable sitting place so as trucks stopped for the traffic light and got going again they made that noise that dogs just have to get used to so back to using the poop picker

as a note pad it also was a very handy dustpan updated while the plastic bag could be used as a plastic bag... I remember. I was at some dog conference and was asked to speak on the topic of poo picking.. Because with so many great Danes they figured I must be an expert at something so I described our volunteers who cut these things up and sent them to us and we got thousands of them--- by the way for you old timers who may have heard this before the other speaker at that conference was a woman from Great Britain who had invented a what she called. Chunky vomit picker... But my poo picker was voted superior because after she picked the chunky vomit she had a messy chunky vomit picker whereas I had a tidy plastic bag and efficiency was the word.

So bACK TO --- I HAVE ONLY 8 LEFT !! Part of the reason I have only 8 is the fact that I have been known to pass these out as samples to other dog owners.. Because they are very handy and efficient. At least for picking up stools.. Here again you old timers may remember my episode of being in a wheelchair at Sam's store when my puppy started to PP... I did not have anything in my repertoire to deal with the fluid so I tried grab a hold of the source of the fluid... And let me tell you that did not work... Somehow Megan was involved and apparently she had tried much the same thing with little success..

Where Was I going with this?? Bella was here yesterday with her very well trained service dog the nice dog actually--this is the puppy that I picked up in the junk dealers yard in New Hampshire. And somehow nick as in ira Toyota nick was with me and I picked this one puppy out of a litter of nine because it was the only one that was quiet and seemed to be observing everything that was going on and the others were more active I think I did the right thing this is a nice dog and she's done a great job training him not him her-- but she also has A5 month old pump that she's training for somebody I don't know so she has a need for poop pickers and I didn't have enough to share at this point so if you'd all start again with a three inch by 6 inch serial cardboard coupled with a plastic bag I will share them with her.. She's a very interesting person. And she said she had a good time going with Elizabeth with her dog and larkey to the daycare center in Woburn which has such a large group of children..

That's very interesting and I hope we can figure out how to work her into the organization..  Setwe may have to figure out how to manage to pay her .. that and how to get her from Woburn to Ipswich...

Part 2:

from a 1

Here's a revised version of your email to make it more engaging and concise:

Subject: Help Needed: Our Beloved Poo Pickers Are Running Low!

Dear Goldy’s Farm Family,

I never thought I’d say this, but we’re down to just 8 of our trusty poo pickers! These handy tools, made from cereal box cardboard and a plastic bag, have been our saviors during puppy training sessions. They’ve served as note pads, dustpans, and even helped in service dog training!

We need your help to replenish our stock. If you can, please send us more 3x6 inch cardboard pieces with a plastic bag. Your contributions have always been invaluable, and I’d love to share them with others like Bella, who’s doing an amazing job training service dogs.
