DAILY DOGGIE - JAN 11, 2026 (by Carlene White)

just how lazy can I get??? I sat in bed making a mental list of all the things I had to do and two of the things I wish I could do the first was to make a second cup of coffee taste as good as the first and secondly how to make hot air go down out of the heater for the dogs on the floor. I have spent hours try to figure that one out the closest I have gotten there is a 4 inch dryer vent which is a collapsible bit of aluminum foil in a tube sort of thing but it's not 100% so I struggle ohh I know product that there is a product in catalogs it's a mat to keep baby pigs off the floor and that may be the only thing I've found so far to try and keep a dog on the floor warm because even if you put them next to the heater it doesn't work they goes up Napoleon said so or whoever that was that's sad apples fall down..

North Carolina. No no machine I said South Carolina this automatic correction of my spectacular Grammar and concepts---AI. It's just not ready for me yet. What I'm trying to say is that Janine must have gotten to South Carolina with her two horses or we would have heard otherwise I assume-- I think Wanda is with her also I certainly hope she is--and water is small enough to go in a carrier in the cabinet with the airplane without having to argue about service dogs. So I don't know when Janine thinks she will come back but seeing is any plan is bound to be changed anyway all I can say is not today probably. The only one I totally rely on around here is Linda she gets things right as best she can which is pretty damn good... I haven't printed out her schedule for the week yet but I'll print that out before I'll print anybody else's schedule for fear wasting paper.

As I try and get my life organized without jeanine here I sat here with the phone as I drank my second cup of coffee and remembered there's a pretty constant group of men who have coffee in topsfield center at the at the at the at the whatever it is spaghetti it's not spaghetti yes it's it's it's a sub sandwich shop or something any rate there's a group of three or four men and it occurred to me yesterday if I could just get down there maybe one of them would like to be taxi driver from say 9:00 to noon a couple days a week and boy that would help me tremendously because I get these projects that we need doing and I can't go anywhere and get the materials I need..

And getting materials I need once was the giraffe 10 where Benz boat is but Janine has cleaned that up so much you can't go and grab A2 foot piece of wood within a reliability but it's clean and organized. Besides I looked at the ice between me and the giraffe 10 tent and I really didn't think it would be wise for me to cross it which is about the same problem I have with doing mail call in the barn because back when I was very organized and trying to lay things out in the proper way I had thought probably Janine and anybody else might want to do dressage or practice dressage and the ring would have to be 60 foot by 100 feet----- so the area in front of the barn was at one point 60 by 100... Now there are many things that have infringed on my special dressage ring.. Namely the ICU building. The fire hydrant that Lynn Cashman and I lifted into my truck with great difficulty in the dark in the parking lot of a supermarket ... And an area that Janine planted and grass. The remaining area is relatively flat with potholes that have ice.. Making walking to the barn hazardous. And therefore I don't get to do mail call very often.

I don't know if any of you knew people no how I decided to put the donkey cafe where it now is.. 100 years ago I can't remember why I was out riding around East Coast but I ended up in Erie PA where they collect the old cabooses.. And found that I could buy an old caboose and have it delivered to my home in Ipswich MA I think it was to $2000.. So I crawled in and out of one caboose after another trying to find one that would adapt into a small apartment.. And I found one and by golly they did deliver it to Ipswich at 4:00 one morning-- with wide load perkmits they organized..... and.. Interestingly all of these cars have a number on the side so that for the weeks ahead of the delivery I could call the office and say where is my train car number by XXXX and someone would tell me something like it's crossing route 89 in Vermont right at the moment. It eventually ended up in Chelsea MA and with a crane and some big trucks it arrived home in Ipswich. Maybe you don't know that if you lift the box part all of those wheels they just fall off there is only one pin holding the wheels on the cabin not even a Cotter pin to hold the whole thing together. But I had the area ready for the caboose by dragging around really heavy rails and getting them to be exactly X number of inches apart-if I remember correctly I did that with a mule that I had.. That caboose never was a total apartment but it certainly held many nearly graduated college students  who consumed the quality of beer while they held on to the rails overhead ----I do have. Somewhere ,maybe,,,  a very interesting picture of a college student obviously inebriated holding on to the rail overhead who later went on to be a judge. Gotta love that .

The caboose began to peal; it’s red paint-- So before I had it repainted I had it sandblasted to get rid of the old paint not realizing all those paint chips were going into the ground in what was once my garden but because of the lead paint we decided that shouldn't be a garden anymore and it would make it much better sitting down please which is why the tables and chairs and things ended up where they now are and then I personally built that roof over them

which is why the roof is not quite square but it's held up very nicely for 40 some odd years whatever

wow.. all of that before 8:00am
