11 23 My Internet Has decided then I should be watching the various things the Amish do to keep themselves fed and healthy I am both shocked and amazed listening to it and wondering why more press is not given to them for the things they do and have have discovered I could vaguely remember some of the things my mother did during the Second World War keeping us fed and healthy with the 50 LB bags of vegetables that my father would occasionally bring home he was in the business of farm equipment tractors things like that and when somebody couldn't make a payment or something they end up giving him bags the groceries which kept everybody fed I can remember being called on to Shuck the corn or peas Or very likely onions because in Newburgh NY we're very close to the black dirt country of Chester and Goshen places like that where they grew onions
Back to crazy acres/ goalie farm We are expecting several guests this afternoon
And I am adjusting myself to nearly 87% indoor living I have the two glass doors open on the general activity as people come and go but according to the Amish what I should do is get an Indian or Turkish rug and hanging it over th those doors because there must be a tremendous heat loss through them but I'm not sure I want to part with the view
I think Judy will be back this morning and to claim Willow who really has been a pretty good guest last night was a little bit rough where she wanted to go out four times and she made it quite specific so I had to get up and get her out and she goes about 18 inches from the door where she pees and turns around and goes back in again so it really is an efficient operation but nonetheless you gotta get up and go...
I did get the yellow ladder to the mail call department which is basically a heated room and 9:00 and 10:00
Both my double doors and the mail call room or the 9:00 and 10:00 both have cameras in them so you can Keep track of my progress should you feel the need to do that
